New FIXER reviews
It’s been a while since I’ve shared any new reviews of Fixer for everyone. Let me rectify that immediately. Below are a couple of nice reviews that popped up recently on Goodreads:
I admit, when he started introducing physicists into a story about time, I was dreading the seemingly inevitable as you know, Bob exposition that would kill pacing and inevitably break my suspension of disbelief. But, rather cleverly, any description of time comes from the non-technical POV characters. And then the description of a complex testing apparatus comes from someone with no grasp of optics or engineering. Perfect. Just perfect for conveying the idea that experts have figured this shit out so we don’t have to.
I’ve often daydreamed what it would be like to be able to peer into the future and make minor adjustments to my life, or even be able to help others. With that in mind I think that the author did an amazing job showing just how exhausting and psychologically damaging that ability could be.
